is over. Some of our SC members got a X100 camera.
Those who have, are you still in "love" with it?
Or are you alreading looking forward to replacement?

Mine is a keeper for a good while. I wouldn't want it as an ONLY camera, but I love it as ONE of a now relatively small collection of cameras. It has the best image quality, the best PARTS of an interface (although the whole interface took some getting used to), the best low light performance, and overwhelmingly the best viewfinder of any camera I own. I use it a lot and like it a lot. I also like my even more discrete GRD3 for street shooting in good light and I'm very pleased to now have an m43 camera I like again to go with my small collection of m43 lenses (and to have a camera with lightning fast AF and other reflexes). If I had to choose just one, it would be the EP3 because of its incredibly versatility, but I'm deeply grateful to be able to own more than one and the X100 is a big part of my quiver. Those three cameras cover just about any eventuality (except for a flip up screen, so I MAY replace the EP3 with an EPL3 in time, depending on how much I end up using the EP3 touch screen and how much I like the EPL3 when I get a chance to check one out) and I'm very pleased to have each. I can see improvements to a future version of the X100 (maybe from Fuji, maybe from a competitor) that would get me to replace it, but nothing out there now would cause me to sell it.

:rolleyes:Nooooo! I can never choose just one though, I always take two cameras out on a trip but limit myself to just one if I'm not going anywhere special. They all have their shortcomings though:)

Last night I was feeling rather guilty about the joking re the Leica X1. It is an extremely nice and beautiful camera. For me it was just missing a few things that the X100 was supposed to have - and does have - so that is why I sold my X1 when the news came out about the upcoming X100. I have a number of photographs taken with with the X1 that I am very fond of and I know there are many excellent photographers who still swear by their Leica X1s.:th_salute:

I can't decide weather to part with the x100 or the x1 so I decided to part exchange my black k5 body for the new ep3! I need help:rolleyes:

NNOOOOOO!!!! What a shame that I missed your sale here. I've fallen back in love with my Pentax dSLR - the K-r is so small and neat! But I would have considered the small compromise in weight and size for some of the K5's features. Please let us know how you're finding the transition.
