Olympus Need some XZ1 advice

I sold off some lenses and such (simplifying my gear) and I ended up keeping my E-P1 and 2 native lenses (Panny 14 and 20). I want to pick up another body to play with and I have been toying with the idea of an E-PM1. Then today I started looking at the XZ1. Are there any folks here that have both and what do you think?

I realize we're talking m43 vs small sensor...I mean what do you think in terms of enjoyment?

I am the E-PL1 and 2 as well as the XZ-1. As far as enjoyment, the XZ-1 is much smaller, and when used in RAW under ISO 200 can devliver stunning IQ. It is FUN to shoot tho not so ergonomic as the GRD. I have posted almost as many pics from my XZ-1 as my E-PL-1 and 2 combined.
I find the smaller camera less intrusive.

I've always been a fan of point and shoot cameras like the LX3 and LX5...I even have recently picked up a Panasonic ZS3 because I really like the combination of the big zoom and macro in such a tiny package. Thanks for the the insight. I took some time and looked at number of the mages you have made with the XZ1. You certainly make that camera look good.

I also think the XZ-1 is a fun camera to use BUT...The images are not IMO quite as good as the M4/3 cameras due to the smaller sensor and they will look and feel very similar. It is still one of the best cameras out there though and I only sold mine to get the X10 which is proving to be more than the sum of it's parts!! By that I mean there is much to fiddle with and it looks and feels like a 60's rangefinder.

If I were in your shoes I would get the GRD3 or 4 or possibly a NEX and some MF lenses which is what i am now doing and having huge fun with.

I found out that one of my Chanukah presents is an Olympus E-PM1 (silver) so no XZ1 for me right now...and quite honestly that's fine as well The E-PM1 will play nice with my Panasonic 14 and 20. It's all good. Now for a grip and LCD protector (and maybe some home brew leatherette...the silver looks pretty tasty with some black leatherette.

Cool gift, and the PEN being able to use your existing and very nice lenses is a plus!

A bit late, but i thought i'd add my 2 cents. I have the EPL2 and 3 lenses and wanted a good PnS so I picked up the XZ1. It's so convenient to carry for walks around town that the EPL2 has been staying home. The images are very good and with a bit of post processing rival the EPL2 up to 800 iso. Having the VF2 for use on both cameras is also very nice.

XZ-1 versus system cams

Same experience here.

I took my newly-acquired XZ-1 on vacation, rather than my E-PM1, just so that I would not have to change lenses. I am particularly impressed by yht lens speed at full telephoto - unique to the Olympus among this class of camera. I'd suggest that if noise reduction weren't so aggressive (or I were willing to use RAW with it), this beats most kit zooms on mirrorless cams available today.
