Snapseed for WINDOWS! It's BRILLIANT!!!!

Thanks for the heads up on this.
I've enjoyed playing with Snapseed on the Ipad but it's much more useful on my Desktop.
I wish their other software was as cheap.

I'm so glad you've done so well with it Andy!

P.S. I've moved this thread into the Image Processing forum...where you'll also find some talk about Snapseed for Mac, too - which I have to say works very nicely.

I also still want to know how you get those dark bars on two sides of your two of your pictures? That's not part of Snapseed, I don't think?

Just downloaded snapspeed...don't actually remember what I did to this.... 'cause I messed around about three times:confused:

I have just downloaded Snapseed for Windows. It's quite brilliant and a real joy on the PC. I love it on my iPhone but on a big screen it's just to die for!! Will I ever use Lightroom again???? LOL

Nice stuff, Andy! And yes, You'll use Lightroom because Snapseed is only one way of processing, and in some senses it is very restrictive. I can spot a Snapseeded pic now without it being noted in comments or description. Its nice, but its no replacement for LR/PS et al. I would even go so far as to say its no replacement for <shudder>Picasa</shudder> or Paintshop Pro.

Thanks BB. No problem moving it to this forum.
ery easy
The bars on the sides are done in PS Elements 9 after i have resized the image. You just widen the canvas size with a black background. Very easy!

Andy; does this Snapspeed download run for only 15 days trial according to my screen its now showing 14 days to go, I paid just under 16 euros to them and have a receipt and p/w and login name. When I open on the icon on my desktop a box with three choices 'comes-up' asking for name and the 'number' but it doesn't seem to matter if I click on demo it works. If I click on purchase it goes to the Snapspeed main page. the 'active' button is not highlighted.
Hope you followed all this.
Although its fun my import remains LR3 and I do think now; that Picasa is still a better (free) program

I have Snapseed now on three platforms: iPad/iPhone, iMac and Dell Latitude laptop. I view it as more of a fun app than a serious image processor. But fun it is!

If i were you i would get in touch with NIK and see what they suggest. My install was very simple... Download, run, pop in serial number and use.

Thanks and yes i wouls never stop using LR. Picassa does get a look in now and then and Snapseed will be used for certain images. It's good to have a choice.
