Nikon The odd couple...

That's a great combo IMO! Congrats!!

Which lens did you pick w/ the V1?
I'm taking the Henry Ford approach Armanius, black with the 10-30 kit. That's it.
I preferred the slower 10mm end of the stabilized zoom over the faster non I.S. pancake. The 30-110 focus hunted under general indoor lighting conditions which scratched that off my list.
This is the most time I've spent on deliberating on any gear simply because the camera is a paradox in many ways. In the end it was the phase detect auto focus, color accuracy, size and some jaw dropping images I've seen that inspire me to challenge my ability and be creative with the darn thing.

Well, after shooting a few days with the kit lens, I decided to download NIK Dfine to use with Aperture. Slow lens, small sensor=noisy images. Went back to the camera store to check out the pancake 10mm 2.8, it was better but still had a tinge of regret.
Now comes the game changer... FT1 adaptor and an 85mm 1.8 WOW, pictures that now look like something with very little noise. I also picked up a 35mm 1.8, with both lenses, focus is lightning fast and great depth of field.
Ok, it's now not quite the pocketable unit I originally envisioned and let's see, what am I into this kit for (don't ask, anyway I used trading stock mostly) however, it is light, compact, fast and accurate. It has now rightfully earned a spot in the bag as a companion to the X-Pro 1.
