BB, the coastal shots I've posted have been about 80 miles further west (in a direct line), so from the county of Devon which is between Dorset and Cornwall. Most of the rocks around here are harder, Granites and Schists, metamorphic rocks that have been forced to the surface by heat and pressure so no fossils hereabouts, well not dead ones anyway So most of our coastline hereabouts is harder and withstands the pounding of the waves better.
