What will be your next acquisition?

Oh, did you mean cameras related? - then the answer is a screen protector for the back LCD screen.

If you mean for the X100, I got one and I'm glad, but it has a spot in the center where it touches the LCD that drives me crazy. Not sure how else to have applied it - it's supposed to hover just above it I guess, but mine makes contact. Beware.

Dunno for now, I'm trying to get back into more color photography, I'm looking for a project, then I'll Know if my current gear is ok for what I want to do. Also waiting for upcoming reviews from recent gear.

I'm leaning towards shooting specifically for printing and producing Nice prints too. A3-A2 sizes. Canevas would be an option in some cases. I don't print much and I'm discovering a whole new world.

So a better printer would be on m'y list for proofing and A3 sizes.

I'm looking for simplicity in the gear to avoid distractions and simplicity in subject, it would be m'y first go at a more serious project so I'm in that thought process right now.

You really shouldn't have started this thread!!!! :D

I have been looking at getting back into DSLR's BUT....full frame only. Funnily enough I was testing out the Canon 5D Mk2 and the Nikon D600. The 5D was pretty horrible and produced poor images in my opinion. My X100 produces much nicer images. The D600 however was a totally different animal!!!! It was gorgeous!! The files are not stupidly large (20Mpix) and they were awesomely sharp using a 50mm f1.8. They were the sharpest images I think i have ever experienced!!! DOF was stunningly good also. It made the 5D look like a poor performing camera! This will be a long way off 'IF' i get one. I'm also going to test the X-E1 to within an inch of it's life!!!

Well, it's complicated. I just gave my Pentax K200D and three lenses to my niece. That leaves me with a K-5 as my only Pentax camera (along with a dozen lenses). And you see my micro four-thirds kit below. I am considering either a K-5 IIs or a Ricoh GXR as my second "Pentax" camera. But I'm waiting to see if Ricoh comes out with a K-mount module for the GXR before acting. That's fine because the price of the K-5 IIs will only come down with time. On the micro four-thirds front, I am waiting to see if Olympus's E-P3 replacement is a Pen with a built-in EVF. If it is, I may just bite and clear out some of my MFT bodies. If not, the Sony NEX 6 looks good. But if I go that route, all of my micro four-thirds gear may go. That would be okay because I have another niece who I got started on the system. (Both nieces are lucky girls). Then there's the Fuji X-E1. If that really turns out to be the camera we all hope it is, it could replace my Pentax gear. And if the X100 goes back on sale for under $1000, it could just be an addition to anything I have now. Like I said, it's complicated.

Just when I get out, you pull me right back in!!!

LOL!

I have a black XE1 on preorder with the zoom lens. Wondering if I should wait until the Zeiss 32/1.8 gets released next year, or just go for the already very good 35/1.4? Or wait for the 23/1.4?

Would love to get a hold of that Oly 75/1.8 too!
