Adam, your shots of The Cats of Porto are wonderful. Were these taken with your X-Pro1?

I really love the shot of the tabby (Playful Stray) under the red chair; I want to take him home. He reminds me of my of my tabby, Lucky, in the shot above.

Regards,
Stephen

My heart <3 *awws*

I love cat pictures! Some of these are just down right amazing as well! This is something I hope to become good at shooting. I love and adore cats. I will work with my boys once I decide on the camera I am getting. I will try to remember to venture back here to share some pictures I have taken of them.

Hi Stephen,

I'm really sorry I only just noticed your reply here was a question too me!

The shots are a mixture of X-Pro1 and X-T1

The tabby under the chair is a X-T1 shot!

Both shot with the X-Pro2 and the XF35 F2 (the latter I've had on loan the past week, and damn - I like it :) )

A self-confident cat guarding an elegant estate in the historic district. This was a heavy crop, from 16 to ~2.5 mp.

Leica X2 Paul Smith edition, f5.6, 1/80 sec. handheld, ISO 200.

Beautiful kitty :) And I love the name Luna. I am a sucker for Anime (Sailor Moon got me haha)

I must admit, other than being a bit thin, that stray looks clean and healthy. Could just be the HQ shot though ;)

Thanks very much,

The strays here usually have some friendly humans to give them some food!

The shots of the cat under the red chairs, is a cafe, and the owners leave food out for them!

The shot above is a building site, but someone is leaving food for this cat too :)

Sometimes the cats look ok, (and basically are) but when you get close and play with them, you see the hard life they've had :(

Strangley... this one has not got a snipped ear, they run a program here to neuter strays (to keep the population down without resorting to more drastic measures) and animals that have been operated on have their ear tip snipped (slightly) to indicate that they've been processed.

Edit:

Hmmm of all my posted pics here, I can only see one cat with a snipped ear... maybe they've not been keeping up with it!
