Smartphone Cell Phone Camera photos

My daughter is doing a med-school rotation in Portland, Maine this month. She snapped this with her iphone 6s+ yesterday. She's usually a reasonably competent snap-shooter, but nothing more. But I thought this was one of the nicer landscapes I've seen recently, so I thought I'd post it on her behalf...

Amazing what modern cell phone cameras are capable of.

Sent from my SM-N920P using Photographers Lounge mobile app

Some of my favourite photos taken with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini) over the past year or so. Pictures from my trip to Georgia will follow soon-ish in a separate topic.

I never thought this would happen, but the phone became an important image making tool for me. Convenience wins over a lot of other factors, now that im no longer a student. Too bad that the complete inability to upload photos to a forum using either the flickr app or the flickr mobile website, more than undoes that convenience.....

Winner for no. 8!

Not something I do often, but I enjoy the SOOC quality the Galaxy S4 can deliver if the light is sufficient (the app's called OpenCamera):

some recent photos taken with the Panasonic CM1 phone camera...
Usability/portability of the CM1 is probably on par with the "Flight of the Conchords"-cameraphone...

Image quality is decent enough though.

that squirrel looks like could use a sandwich.

Yeah, this winter has been a bit rough on Nutilda. (She had some mite problems - or at least large parts of her fur were gone.)
She's looking much better now (this photo's been taken about a month ago). Coming to our feeder more often... and checking the upstairs window :)

Some panoramas from a recent trip to Dorset, all taken with my trusty old iPhone 4S. These are all straight out of camera (phone), hence non-horizontal horizons.

The locations are :

1. Abbotsbury, halfway along Chesil Beach. This is taken from the viewpoint at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, which are well worth a visit if you're in the area. The Fleet Lagoon is just starting / finishing on the left.
2. Lulworth Cove. Usually when you see a shoreline curving like that it's an artefact of the panoramic shot, but in this case it's roughly the shape of the cove as you'd experience it.
3. Durdle Door with the Isle of Portland in the background.
4. Ballard Down looking down towards Old Harry Rock (which you can't quite see). The speck of white on the horizon is The Needles on the Isle of Wight.
