Pentax Pentax Q samples

Digging through my archives, I came across this image taken, I think, with the Q + 06 before I sold the lens. This was a few years ago, so I'm not certain. I'm challenging myself right now to use only small sensor cameras, namely the Q and my Fuji X30. Just trying something different.

For my money, the go/no-go is right there in the image. With some small-sensor cameras, the foliage (tree leaves etc.) would be badly smeared in JPEGs - not sure about RAWs. This one looks decent.

Agreed, Dale. I have no complaints with the output from this camera. I once did a birthday party for a young niece using only the Q, and the images turned out quite well. Not many cameras this small have full manual capability and a ND filter, as well.

Been away from the forum just quite a time ... and have acquired a new little toy: my Pentax Q 1o. Love the camera an have added just a few random samples to show why.

Beautiful images, John. Looking at your Q photographs, again (and again), often makes me wonder why I haven't bought a Q.
But then, lately, I've been having fun with - and enjoying - some of the images from my nearly almost equally diminutive Lumix GM5.
Which is probably why I never got a Q.
But damn it makes nice pictures.
Or, rather, it's a good tool for your photographic eye and sensibilities : - )
