I spent much of 2016 carrying around an old Olympus 35RC with a broken light meter. It went on many hikes with me, and I managed to make a single roll of Agfa 200 last about 6 months, snapping an image here or there when it suited my fancy. I don't know if the shutter is sticking, or if my skill at estimating exposure needs tweaked, but about 2/3 of the roll was somewhat overexposed. These are the images that stood out to me:

Not discouraged at all, Steve. I've run through a couple dozen rolls over the past few years, and enjoy using film. Part of the challenge is working to get the best exposure without getting instant feedback. I'll press on, but probably switch to my Pentax MX for the next roll.

Lovely series, Tony. I had one of those puppies in the late 70s but can't remember what happened to it.
Anyway, here's one of my OM2's but I still haven't shot a single roll in what seems like ages. Shame, shame, especially since I have a couple more old cameras in storage, ....loads of film in one of my friend's freezers and all the glass I need. I guess my main reason to stay clear of film is that I'm afraid the first couple shots could make me sell all my digital stuff and send me on a full 180.

Thanks Ken. Nice camera outfit you have there. I had an OM-1 + 40mm f/2 setup that I sold earlier this year when I purged a lot of my camera gear. The camera needed some TLC, but it still worked and produced great images. One of those moments that led to later "Why did I sell that?". Can't have everything, though, and the greatly reduced clutter on my camera shelves is nice.

My mistake was to sell all my Zuiko glass but to keep my (slightly faulty) OM2 body for sentimental reasons. So I'm now the proud owner of an OM2 with no lens, so it doesn't even look nice on display. I may have to pick up a cheap 50mm lens at some point just to complete it, which will annoy me because I once had a very nice Zuiko 50mm f1.4.

I think my father has an Olympus 35RC somewhere - not sure what state it's in.
