You bastids!!!

I'd completely convinced myself that I didn't "need" one of these but now I'm eyeing off the going rates of M4/3 gear on eBay to see if selling my EM-1 and a few lenses would cover it...

I think many hear the siren's call of the GR and once they see and feel her for real either love it or want it gone...so maybe try a "Wanted to Trade" posting here and around the usual haunts. You might be surprised...I have jumped in and out of a few X100s this way....ahem and doing the same ATM with the X100T to go deeper into film.

Any reason you chose the large aperture in this shot ? Or did you just not notice. Like I do now and again ;-)
The latter - I use custom setups, and the one I've generally enabled makes the camera start up with the aperture fully open. I would have got a slightly sharper image at f/4 or f/5.6, that's true, but in a way, the slight vignette and minimal border softness are fitting. The ND filter makes shooting wide open in bright conditions a non-issue - but of course, I should have at least thought about it. Though I might have come to the same conclusion - I like shooting good lenses wide open :)
