Sort of surprised I couldn't find a clouds thread here other than the sunrise/sunset one. Here's a snap I took a couple of years ago when I had a Sony A7. I think the lens was a Konica AR 40mm/1.8, or maybe a 57mm/1.4. I've been going through a trove of old images and came upon this one.

what I like about all these shots is that they are all natural and not overdone in PS/LR (I have been guilty of said in the past)

Kind of you to say. I'm particularly fond of the way the combo of the OMD EM5 II and the Oly 17mm renders the sky. It's pretty much what you see is what you get.

There are some subtleties of the interplay of light around the edges of the clouds that the combo doesn't quite grab, but I've done a little research, and the upshot is that the human eye doesn't react the same way as a camera sensor. Would a few thousand for a full frame camera and more expensive lens perhaps deliver better results? Maybe, but I'm pretty happy with what I have now.

Like you, certainly in the past I have been guilty of overdoing the post processing. With this combo, I am less tempted to do so.

Cheers, Jock

A C130 eh ! I used to live at the end of the runway of RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire for years . They had moved now. I must admit I do miss them.
