Fuji New to the XF1 - now X30..gone..now X100T..gone. I’m back

Thanks Bill, I have the ND filter on a custom button too.

Am thinking about the wcl-x100 for holiday in a few months...and some filters...and a case...

:blush::D

This is all I'm taking on my next trip, to Naples...

Do you use a case or bag ? I really want to keep size to a minimum as I can put the camera in a jacket pocket. If I get the WCL and filter, I'll need something a little bigger but I don't want to throw loads on money at storage...

I stopped using a case for my x100; i either have it in my coat pocket or loose in my daypack.

With a domed hood (even narrower / smaller and closer to the lens than Bill's, from the looks of it), the chances of anything hitting the lens are minimal. And the rest of the camera is pretty rugged, it can handle some bumps.

I've handled my camera like that for almost 4 years now, and it's still running like clockwork.

The filters i only bring with me on holidays, and they go in the daypack.

Very nice use of the ND filter, by the way!

I'm waiting for the case; it's free in the UK to those who ordered early (I think the term "pre-ordered" is a nonsense). I'll fit the base because it gives some protection and makes handling better for my larger hands. I've just received an Acmaxx screen protector so that will go on too.

All of the above fits easily in a Domke F5-XB. I can wear that on a belt or over a shoulder. There's enough space for a small power bank, a small folding umbrella and a water bottle (or hip flask ;) )

What is that lens-like object on the left?

It is indeed a lens-like object ;0)

It's the TCL and WCL joined back to back by a simple male-male threaded ring and a couple of sky filters to give something to grip. It works really well because it gives me one thing to keep track of instead of two and protects the rear elements far better than the standard, flimsy push-on rubber caps.

two filters and a b2b ring equals convenience.jpg
