This snake was taken to a local park for release by a couple who no longer wanted it. An art student visiting the park inquired and in the end took it home. I'm glad it wasn't left in the park which may have proven too frightening.

Handsome snake. Glad someone rescued it, humans don't take to kindly to snakes, someone one would have likely done him in.

I cannot abide people who have no sense of responsibility for these creatures. I don't mind snakes and other reptiles (but I would not keep one as a pet)... but if this snake has been in captivity all its life, how the heck did they expect it would survive? Hate people like that.

Nice shot though.

I envy you those views. I've often wished I lived in an English village. I keep watching Escape to the Country (its years out of date here, but still) and wishing for a village lifestyle. It just doesnt exist like that, over here.
Gosh, Escape to the Country...it's still going strong, in fact I watch it myself quite regularly. I find after a few years in the sticks I'm missing some aspects of less rural places I've lived, principally decent shops, pubs and eateries. However by and large it would be churlish to complain too much and Herefordshire is (mostly) gorgeous.
