RX100 III Endrer ikke skjermen for selfies

I think he is referring to the image being shown when in "selfie position" that the screen is not auto-rotating the image. I don't have an RX100 to know if that is an option if you flip the screen 180 degrees

My Norwegian is a little rusty, but I believe the question is "RX100 III Does not change the selfie screen".

This is a problem reported on other sites, and people have said that when the RX100 is working properly the image stays upside-down until the lcd frame is pressed flat against the back of the camera. If something prevents that full movement (like a screen protector in the way) the image will stay inverted, so make sure that the screen is pushed fully into place. I also saw mention of the possible misalignment of a position-sensing magnet in the flip screen, although that was for a similar problem on a different camera.

Hi
When I place a magnet between the camera and the flip screen at a certain point, it works as soon as i remove the magnet, it will be wrong. Showing a photo showing the magnitude of the magnet.
Is it possible to put this camera back from firmware 2.0 to 1.20 ??

I don't know about changing firmware versions so I can't answer that part

Your experiment with the additional magnet suggests to me that there is a physical problem with the internal magnet, or with its position relative to the sensor. Did this feature ever work or have you had the same problem from the start? If the internal magnet has become weak though time I would expect it to work occasionally if not reliably. Maybe the answer will be to carry that small magnet with you for the times when you need to use the selfie mode?

If the problem started immediately after you updated the firmware it makes me wonder if Sony changed something. Maybe the automatic inversion was sometimes happening when it shouldn't so they reduced the sensitivity of the magnet sensor? (I'm just guessing now, I'm afraid)

Good luck with finding a solution.
