Thanks Sue, I was lucky to get mine while there was still stock but once Sony stopped producing the sensor and Fuji announced they were not making anymore they seemed to sell out really quickly.
They are a superb little camera with the X100T sensor inside.

It's true, all of the 28mm fixed compacts are now a bit rare here in NSW/ Australia.

Yep. All I have is my ricoh GRD3, with a broken battery latch, so every time I recharge it, I have to go through the will it wont it start up again, and open and close the battery door multiple times before it connects again. Fortunately it has a good long life between recharges. Its a pain that it cant be charged through a cable, instead of having to remove it from the camera. I wouldnt mind getting a IV to replace it, I love its compactness... but those are like hens teeth too, we can get them from Japan at huge cost (around $800 at last glance, so I stopped looking)

Rainy and grey today - good working conditions for the G1X III. I've put together an "all-weather" kit (thanks to @kyteflyer - small microfiber towel, but also a lightweight bag for quicker protection) - and it worked very well today, though I have to get used to a new "workflow" (drying off the lens barrel before switching off the camera - I usually switch on, shoot, switch off). It's functional and eases the mind considerably - so I actually had quite some fun shooting, even though the rain got worse towards the end of my lengthy walk ...
