Panasonic How Does One Open & Edit the LX7's RW2 (Raw) files on a Mac?

Yes they do, but I didn't enjoy using Silkypix with my first G1 camera, so I'm staying away from it. DUD

Panasonic How Does One Open & Edit the LX7's RW2 (Raw) files on a Mac?

Hey, this applies to me also. I can only use the jpegs in Adobe Bridge, and Photoshop Elements. I thought perhaps eventually the software updates might come through automatically. It's just as well the jpegs are good quality. Cheers DUD

Feedback New Site Skins - Dark and Gray

Nice one Amin. I prefer the original. But having a choice reminds me of another Australian forum that I am a member of. It's non photo, but when the administrator changed the format and colour there was an almighty upheaval and people left by their droves. He went for a lighter background, and...

Waves off the NSW coast. Hope I made the cut-off time. Here is an image taken last year on a trip along the New South Wales coast. Strong winds brought up high seas. Taken at Brooms Head. Cheers DUD

Featured Forum Post: 'The Amazing Versatility of the LX7'

My new LX-7 I bought my LX-7 for an overseas trip last October. It proved to be a very good choice. Light, compact, and easy to use. The jpegs are the best I've got from any camera so far. Here are some of my first efforts with the LX-7. Trying out the camera in the garden at home...

    Sony Santa visited me too!!

Cheers, Bill. I decided to stay with Panasonic, and bought a LX-7. It performed great in Europe. I hope your RX-100 performs well too. The LX-7 gives great jpegs OOC, too. It was disappointing to see the price drop so suddenly after I purchased, but that's just the "market economy" operating...

Panasonic Is Panasonic giving up on the LX7?

I like my LX-7 I would be amazed if the LX-7 is to be discontinued. After all most on-line sellers seem to still have stocks of the LX-5. This photo was one of my recent trip to Spain and the Mediteranean. The 24mm equivalent wide-angle end of the zoom makes it a very versatile camera. I...

Panasonic Big test for a Panasonic LX-7

Hi Michael, I've always carried an LX2 in the car. It was OK, but the LX7 is just beaut. The only problem I encountered was short battery life. A charge only gives 300 exposures, and that seems like all you get. On this trip I had only the original battery, next time I'll carry some extra...

Panasonic Big test for a Panasonic LX-7

Hi everyone from DownUnderDog, in Australia. Recently I purchased an LX-7 to use on an overseas trip. I desided to take only one camera, and leave all my mu-43 gear home. After reading Camera Labs review I bought an LX-7. I made what I think was the correct choice. The camera was around my...

Panasonic LX7 has arrived in my hands...and it's a stunner!!!

Nice to hear a good wrap for this camera. I'm thinking of purchasing one for an overseas trip. There will be a lot of bus trips and walking so I want something small and simple. I had read about this. Currently I have an LX2 but it's not good enough. I'm impressed - now how can I get is approved...

Help me choose my 'cruise' kit.

Hi Bill, I'm contemplating purchasing a Panasonic DMC-LX7 for my cruise and tour of Spain. This camera has just been released and would suit carrying on shore trips and tours. It has a 24-90mm zoom (full frame comparison) and a maximum apeture of f1.4 at wide and 2.3 at tele. This type of f stop...

Fuji Sunset at Moonta Bay with the X100

No I don't live locally, I was just visiting South Australia, and was staying at the local Caravan Park. We loved all the coast especially Port Vincent. We live in Gippsland, Victoria, when we're not travelling. Cheers DUD

Help me choose my 'cruise' kit.

Hi Bill, last year we did the "Dawn Princess" cruise around Australia. I used my G1 and 45-200 lens the most onboard. But on shore I used the GF-1 and 20mm lens the most. This combo was also perfect for candids on board. We are going to Spain in October, and I'm just like you and considering...

    awstralian wildloife

Well you asked for Awstralian wildlife, so here it is. It's been lurking in my gallery for several weeks now. Just proves you don't look at the galleries often enough. This little blighter was photographed in the Belair National Park. Belair is just a short drive (or train ride) from Adelaide...

News Eastman Kodak files for bankruptcy

After 46 years in the photographic industry I can only remember Kodak for its film and papers. The only Kodak item I was still using when I retired last year was their Professional Instant dry Inkjet paper. A decent product at a decent price. In my retailing years we only sold their cameras by...
