Very true. Blazing fast AF. I would, but it's a long way from Sydney to New York just to visit a camera store...:)

Easy choice for capturing little kids: Olympus E-M1/45mm combo. My kids are grown but we have 3 little grandsons who are live wires. (Substitute E-M5/45mm if cash is a problem.) Uber fast focussing, yet excellent image quality up to ISO 3200. Just my two bobs' worth of opinion. :)

Bruce, I used a variety of filters being Radlab, Topaz and Niks, although I can't remember which filter was used on which photo!

Thanks BB. The more I use the ridiculously cheap V1, the more I like it. And yes, koalas are spiteful little critters, but they are such wonderful things to watch.

I picked up a spare in Campbelltown today. Awesome price for a magical camera.

For anyone who's interested, David Jones are selling out the V1/10-30 kit for $314 AUD. (285 USD). This also includes the Nikon flash. Sell the flash on eBay for $100 & you have an amazing kit for about $200, brand spanking new. I know there is stock at Tuggerah, Market St and Campbelltown...
