Micro 4/3 No Love for the New Panasonic GM5?

I'm glad the GM5 came out because I got a killer deal on a new GM1 camera!

    Micro 4/3 Olympus E-M5 II

Olympus executive said they will have hand holdable sensor shift technology soon so I'll wait until the E-M1 II comes out next year.

Micro 4/3 Strip an E-M5 body?

I would like to customize my OM-D E-M5 body with my personally made covering. Is there a way to remove the 'carbon fiber' looking outer skin without damaging the camera body? Any info or links will be appreciated. Bobby

How does the camera and lens handle wearing gloves?

    Micro 4/3 GM1 unboxing video

Grip, absolutely for me If I have to use the horizontal grip on my E-M5 for comfort then I would absolutely need the grip for the E-M1 but I have the feeling this camera would be 2/3's by the lens in my left hand and the 1/3 by my right hand with a few fingers. The price I'd have to pay for an...

Olympus Any good Flash for Olympus OMD?

I got the "R" model used for $120 and it works great with my E-M5 on or off camera. The little flash that came with your camera can remote control any of the "R" designated flashes. The FL36R also bounces and swivels and is the perfect size on the E-M5 camera. It's not as powerful as the FL600R...

    Micro 4/3 Smallest m43: Panasonic GM1+12-32 f/3.5-5.6 for 699 Euro

Makes me wonder if Leica is going to "red dot" a M43's camera off the Panasonic assembly line like they did with the LX series?

    Micro 4/3 Ming Thein's review of Olympus OM-D E-M1

Dpreview has revised it's comments on AF with 43's lenses on the E-M1 vs. 43's lenses on the E-5. Seems they did their comparison based on memory of how the E-5 AF performance was. Now they say the E-M1 is equal to the E-5's AF performance! Geez, how many other comparisons have they made from...

Micro 4/3 New OM-D to be released

I hope this new camera will utilize the 43's lens line to its fullest. I know a lot of 43's shooters have felt abandoned by Olympus and this camera will make this up to those photographers. They spent top dollar for exquisite lenses and will now have a camera that supports that system!

Micro 4/3 I think the time has come to let go

I gave most of my Nikon DX cameras and lenses to my niece when she started college. My arthritic hands could no longer hold such gear for very long without pain. She is very happy as am I. I acquired an Olympus XZ-1 to handle my photography needs but I missed the ultra wide and moderate...

Olympus FINALLY! VF-2 for my XZ-1

I love the VF-2 on the XZ-1 and after selling some of my gear to upgrade to the OM-D, I still hang on to my VF-2. The VF-2 viewfinder is just as good as the built in viewfinder on the OM-D and I'm saving my pennies to get an XZ-2 which accepts the VF-2 and will make an excellent second camera...

Micro 4/3 Nocticron Megatron Ultraman 42.5/1.2 OIS

For this kind of money I think I will just join the Olympus 45mm f1.8 club and save a bundle! The Oly 45mm has excellent reviews and the price is much closer to us low budget people.

Micro 4/3 olympus xz-2: the 'shouldn't be forgotten' premium compact

Thanks Rbelyell, I was thinking of adding the XZ-2 as a "snapshot" camera. A casual 'jpg' camera that's strickly for web related posting. There are times when I don't want to carry even a small kit bag of OM-D and a couple of zooms but would just like a 'point-n-shoot' that would be quickly...

Micro 4/3 olympus xz-2: the 'shouldn't be forgotten' premium compact

I "upgraded" from the XZ-1 to an E-M5 and love it. I've hung onto my VF-2 because it is just so great. Your XZ-2 comments remind me of a few of the things I miss about the XZ-1 and also a few of the reasons I upgraded which are now fixed in the XZ-2. I'm thinking or should I say rethinking a...

    Olympus XZ-2, Canon G15, & Panasonic LX7 - shooting impressions

Thanks for the info Ray! Noisy cameras are a major annoyance to me when street shooting and you said the XZ-2 is "dead silent". I just wanted to double check with you on this issue as it's very important to me. Are any of the other cameras you handled quiet cameras?

Micro 4/3 olympus xz-2: the 'shouldn't be forgotten' premium compact

I also highly recommend the VF-2, it's a very essential piece of gear if you shoot outdoors plus it can also adjust it's angle 90 degrees. It works great on the XZ-1 and E-PL5!

Micro 4/3 Am I alone? Struggles with new Oly sensor

I agree with John. I am by no means even near a professional but I've gone from an Olympus E-PL2 to an E-PL5 and after several generations of Nikon sensor DSLR's don't suffer from any of the color problems you guys are dealing with. The only purple I see is when shooting the 9-18 at it's...

    Olympus XZ1 question

You are correct Chuck, I believe that 6x6 refers to centimeters not millimeters, so a 6x6cm image would be slightly over a 2-1/4 inch x 2-1/4 inch square film negative. Bobby

    Hello everyone!

Hello everyone, new to compact cameras, used to shoot DSLR's with heavy lenses but my arthritis has caught up with me so I thought I was giving up as a serious amateur when I gave my DSLR gear away to my niece who is just starting college. Then I happened to run into an old friend who just...
