Luke, absolutely right. I bet in a 'blind' test I bet I would not be able to tell the difference. But there's just a little bit of me that worries that I WOULD be able to tell. Something about the feel of the shot when you have picture review switched on in the viewfinder that I daren't lose....
My eldest son spent the entire school holiday in October dressed either as Batman or Spiderman. Here he is on a particularly blustery day as we walked along the promenade at Southsea, Portsmouth.
The restaurant we stopped at for lunch were doing facepainting; as usual he wanted to be a...
Actually I quite like the sound of that. I like to use the OVF whenever possible on the X100 but you don't always know if focus is in the correct area.... you can guess that its in the right ball park based on the focus distance indicator or using the focus lock box, but it's not always...
Been a while since I posted.
Took this shot yesterday as I drove through Snowdonia National Park with my 5 year old in tow. As I had a 5 year old in tow I had about 2 minutes to park up, snap, and be on my way again. Most of my shots are of my kids, landscapes are something I rarely do...
Just made me laugh this one. My youngest looking like he is auditioning for the upcoming 'Minions' movie...

As an expression of 'light' contrition, I personally think it is quite a handy expression. "My fault" seems a little harsh. "My bad" seems to work nicely when no real harm has been done, and the error in question can be easily passed off.
Looks like plenty of other people have given their two-penneth, but for what's it's worth, here is mine. Based on 2 years living in the US, and numerous personal trips there.
1) Visa - 90 day stay allowed with visa waiver program. Any attempt to obtain a visa proper is time consuming and not...
nice shots. I spent 18 months in Budapest, a very photogenic city indeed. It is wonderful in all seasons, though very cold in Winter and very hot in summer.
Just in case anyone is wondering whether it is a place worth visiting, I have a few shots on my flickr:

Nice. Just up the road from me. Was this taken Sunday night by any chance? I was driving on the M25, and the sunset was just incredible, unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to pull over and get any shots.
There was a really nice light coming through my bedroom window this morning, and my boys managed to still long enough for me to grab this shot. Be nice if the eldest was smiling, but I love the light anyway. Always nice to get a shot like this before heading off to work!
I'll admit to having not looked too much at the X100s, mainly because I am 100% happy with my X100 so don't feel the need to take anything more than a passing interest.
But my point was going to be that your opinion, completely valid as it is, shows exactly that as always cameras are horses for...
I was fortunate last week that I had a week off work in what is by anyone's measure unusually good weather for the UK.
This meant the kids got to have a lot of outdoor fun

I'm often asked how my eldest son is with our youngest around. Today I got a shot that answers the question

Apparently they offered the best price, they also took her sister HMS Invincible.... lots of other options were considered.... convert to hotel, casino, tourist attraction/ museum etc etc.
Hopefully they will find a practical, UK based use for the final invincible class carrier, HMS...
HMS Ark Royal leaving Portsmouth for the last time yesterday. A rather sad end for her.... being towed to a scrapyard in Turkey.
There was a good turnout to see her off.....

Went to a small gig last night in a venue around the corner from me.
The act is called Ezio, and they are truly superb. I have seen them here several times. Thought I would take my X100 along last night, got a few shots I am quite please with. Not too much cropping on these... I was pretty...
