Not sure if you're located in Canada, but my local Henry's had 6 in, all pre orders.
Impressions this far: far better than the X-E1, still better than the X100s. Need more time to get my thoughts together.
Only thing I can comment on is the vagueness of the 4 way pad. It's hard to feel...
I'd go 3 stops with a max of 1/4000s available to you @ ISO 200.
It's a bit pricey, but B+W MRC's are pretty good:

Seems the prices for Fuji XF lenses has gotten a bit less.
Notably the XF 35 has gone down to 399, and the XF 23 is 699.

I think that the initial release of the X-pro and the RF styling meant that only small FL primes would fill that "Digital RF" set.
Now with the introduction of the X-T1, HOPEFULLY that means they'll start introducing longer FL primes that would easily pair with an SLR handling regime.
What...
Hello all,
I'm heading down to NYC in February and I'm wondering if there's anything y'all would recommend for a photo walk/opportunity, besides the typical tourist stuff we're planning already.
Also, I got B&H marked down already :drinks:
In my brief day with the X-E2 side by side with the X100s, it's basically the same. Fast AF with some odd quirks here and there. I wonder if that's attributed to the X-Trans II?
Good point on the face detect for m4/3, never really thought about how valuable it is at times with composing.
To be quite honest, the difference in AF between these systems is noticeable but not really a deal breaker.
Perhaps it's because I'm just an AF-S kind of guy...
Hopefully they update the Pro2 to have the X100s or better hybrid EVF.
As for the sensor, I am hypothesizing that they will base the X-Trans III? sensor on some current gen 24 MP APS-C.
Update: They didn't have the new firmware on their bodies. Billy from Fujiguys said he doesn't have it either.
They had the X-M1. Feels and operates exactly like you'd imagine. Didn't spend too much time with it to be honest.
They had the technical director from Japan which oversaw the X...
To our friends NOT in the GTA - anything you want me to test or ask tomorrow?
I'm mostly interested in the new FW for the X-E1 and X-Pro 1, but can spend time doing other stuff too.
Let me know.
Update: I tried out my SMDV Flashwave III's (also called Impact PowerSync) and it syncs no problemo at 1/1000s. Still need to find out how to sync faster (if possible, or really needed).
I was hoping to dim the sky with a fast shutter speed and use the strobe to fill in the subjects.
It looks like many users are getting 1/1000s with any generic radio trigger, which should be perfectly fine. I was just hoping to maximize the full potential of 1/4000s with radios.
My Yongnuo YN-560 III's have a built in receiver for the Yongnuo RF-602/3 trigger. However, I've read it cannot sync wirelessly faster than 1/500s.
One of the benefits of the X100s' leaf shutter is the fast sync speeds and I would like to take advantage of it.
After doing some research, I could not find a lot of definitive answers regarding radio triggers for the Fuji X100s.
What I am envisioning is using a radio trigger mounted on the X100s, and syncing with a flash (Yongnuo YN-560 III).
I understand that radio triggers may not allow to sync...
I'm sure some Asian blog will feature side-by-side comparisons before it reaches the public.
Hopefully, Fuji Guys will have a good video showing the new stuff too - I really appreciate their stuff.
While I am not in the specific market for this camera, I am happy to see more updates to the hardware, which should give an indication of things to come to the X-pro and X-E successors, such as a 920k screen (the X100s and X-E1 featured lowly 460k and Wifi (call it gimmicky but it's very useful...
Per DPReview (see Fujifilm updates X-Pro1 and X-E1 firmware for lens compatibility: Digital Photography Review), the X-Pro 1 and X-E1 will feature an updated AF algorithm which claims to increase AF speed.
Also, note that focus peak highlights will be implemented to the X-Pro1 and X-E1...
