    Fuji Why an X20?

A couple of very thoughtful posts. Thanks guys! I think a lot of people value the experience of using a camera almost as much as the images. I know I'm guilty of this. I bought an RX100 at one point and sold my X20. I used the RX100 for a month and the images were really nice--a step up...

    Fuji Why an X20?

I haven't noticed landscapes going to mush. I did eventually switch from JPG to raw when I went from the X10 to X20. I've found that the X20 files have a lot of latitude and stand up to post processing very well. I also have an XF1, which is pretty much the X10 processor. I shot a bunch of...

Fuji XF1 question regarding clicking in lens

There are Amazon Marketplace sellers for under $300 listing them as new in sealed packaging. That's how I got mine but it had obviously been opened before I got it. It did appear to be new and I've been having a lot of fun with it. Amazon has a policy that prevents the little Marketplace...

Fuji XF1 question regarding clicking in lens

Thanks for the reply! I haven't heard anyone else mention the clicking so I'm just curious. I had an X10 for over a year and a half and loved it. I sold it a few months ago and got the X20 and then an X-E1. I'd forgetten how different the images were between the X10 and X20 (both are...

Fuji XF1 question regarding clicking in lens

I jumped at the chance to pickup an XF1 for under $300 to go along with my X-E1 and X20. So far I've been very pleasantly surprised. I've been shooting JPG and enjoying the quality. It reminds me of why I liked my X10 so much and how different it is from the X20. My only concern at this...

    Fuji New Used X100

I'm looking at them too. I'm pretty paranoid about the SAB but at the prices they're going for it's going to be hard to resist. I'll probably sell a couple Canon lenses to finance it. Either way my X20 is a keeper.

    Fuji Why an X20?

I certainly wasn't limiting my comments to high ISO images. For me it's a choice of the X20 or a 1D. Judging by image quality alone the 1D wins at just about any exposure setting including ISO range. And even if all you have is an entry level Canon DSLR you can slap the "plastic fantastic"...

    Fuji X20 for shaky hands

Wow! Thanks for sharing your experiences with the X20 from a somewhat unique perspective! I'm sorry you have to deal with the ailment but I enjoy hearing how you've managed to adapt a camera system to allow you to continue to make images. I don't shake much more than the average person my...

Fuji Question about OVF to X20 owners

I agree completely. The small amount of exposure information displayed makes a huge difference. If you have an X10 and use the optical viewfinder a lot you really need to check out the X20. It's the biggest reason I upgraded.

    Fuji Why an X20?

Those are the points I think a lot of people are missing. It's the kind of camera you can grab when you're doing something else just in case an opportunity presents itself and if a chance for a photo does arise you know you can get a very nice image. Is also happens to be a very fun camera to...

    Fuji Why an X20?

A lot of people don't understand why someone would spend $600 on a compact camera that has image quality inferior to a DSLR which can be found, used or in entry level, at around the same price. The fact that a person would knowingly choose a poorer image is baffling. I've also seen a lot of...

Fuji Question about OVF to X20 owners

You also have to make sure your eye is close enough to the viewfinder to trigger to sensor. I've had a couple of times while wearing glasses that my eye is not quite close enough to trigger the sensor, which turns the LCD off and turns the OVF overlay on.

Fuji X10 to X20 - Is it worth upgrading? A PERSONAL view...

My completely uninformed guess would be a "rush to market" compromise as opposed to this being a popular look anywhere. In their hurry to get the internal settings balanced perhaps the give and take of the ship date required suboptimal settings in one area in order to improve some other...

Fuji X20 images and "watercolor" effect

Hi Rico, You've no doubt seen some of the comments and samples online regarding some of the X20 JPEG images that show smearing of colors or a "watercolor" effect. It seems that many have decided the only way to avoid this effect is to shoot RAW. While some of the samples I've seen...
