I bought my G1X for landscapes, not people or moving image shots. That said, I do a lot of low light, no flash, live music shoots. The camera is a tad slow, but considering the image quality, I'm not fussed. If I wanted to shoot a wedding, I'd be lugging my 5dmk2 with the sweet EF 24-70mm f/2.8L...

Taken with a Samsung Galaxy S2 - sometimes I wonder why I have so many other cameras. This was levelled up in Lightroom and cropped from the main photo then downsized for web use. Mind=boggled...

I use the GIMP to set up the transparency and bulk edit in Lightroom - images go online as watermarked tiny jpgs (except for this site LOL). There's also another little program around called uMark (Free Watermark Software - uMark) but I don't know how it works - it's a Win download. Google free...

Right. I finally downloaded Adobe DNG so I could read the RAW files from my new G1X - and then I decided to have a play with the scenes I shot yesterday. This one is slightly different from the previous upload - still a big crop into the middle of an even bigger photo - played with the levels...

Nic - Tigger is a Maine Coon cross and his mane comes in full like this in winter. He's only two and a bit and still hasn't got his full growth or coat yet! I call him my little Lion Man although he's a Tigger LOL - and he only sat that still because there was a noise outside - the other shots...

I took over 8,000 photos in a month on my trip. But I did a photo documentary, basically because I doubt I'll ever be able to go back to all the countries and places I visited. So I literally shot every couple of minutes, with whatever camera I had to hand. The photos aren't for everyone but...
