I agree with John, re: AF for work stuff. Really important to get THE shots rather than experimenting on manual primes. Theres some "professionals" who use manual lenses for sure but, if AF is available with fast, sharp glass, why bother with MF? --i just dont have the dough to get the 35 yet...

i just got my X-E1 and as far as my few test shots, its remarkably better than the OMD...or any of the m43 ive ever used. you wont be disappointed wth the IQ (AF has its hick ups, thats why i use Leica M and m39 lenses)

i've been reading stuff off the internet and watched vids on youtube that i need to have a specific FW version of the body and the lens to update it or something. i dunno, im confused!

LOL! yeah, i talked to him last thanksgiving and he just got the X-E2. he likes it, i'm sure. a lighter version of the X-P1 and he rarely uses the OVF so its perfect with his Touits!

hi all, hows it going? im anxiously waiting for my X-E1, which is coming in tomorrow. my question is hat i dont have any fuji lenses, as far as i've read is that i need a fuji lens to update the camera FW (the focus peaking capability is kinda important to me since ill be shooting with LTM's...

and Gary Ayala is to blame for my photographic education in some ways! he's a great mentor to me. i recon id use the LTM's and M's so i didnt get any of the fuji's now (and i didnt have the money) im a big fan of your work! Gary and I have talked about your stuff and i'm a big fan!

I've been staring at a few 5d's and d3's on craigslist. thinking of getting a DSLR again for the few occasions that I really want to use and miss a fullframe

people are more civilized in here as far as I've seen. and the street thread is hustling with great shots! time to come up with some gold and stop obsessing about what lens/camera to use. :smile:
