Fuji Build quality question for X-M1 owner(s)

Many thanks John - it's the wobbly dial that worries me more. I don't want it wobbling right off when I'm far from home and somewhere that will do a warranty repair - I'm off to Vietnam soon and the UK warranty will be useless there. I know it's a cheaper camera but the rest of it feels pretty...

Fuji Build quality question for X-M1 owner(s)

With the price drop at Amazon.co.uk I decided to get the X-M1. I'm basically very happy with it but I have a couple of questions about the build. If somebody with an X-M1 could give me their thoughts I'd be grateful. First off, I'm not expecting it to be like my X100 :) That said, the PASM...

Fuji X-M1 + 16-50 in the UK £279 effective price from Amazon

I've just ordered one myself so I haven't actually completed the process yet. The following is how I understand it to work. You pay full price for the camera - 479.00 Once it's dispatched Amazon will apply a 100 credit to your Amazon account that can be used to buy anything else from...

Fuji X-M1 + 16-50 in the UK £279 effective price from Amazon

I posted this at FujiXspot and then thought there might be some interested people here too. Amazon.co.uk just dropped the prices on the black and black/silver X-M1 + 16-50 zoom down to £479. The brown/silver is £499. There's £100 cashback from Fujifilm and Amazon are giving £100 account credit.

Fuji X-M1 + 16-50 in the UK £279 effective price from Amazon.

Seems too good a deal to be true really but it is. Amazon.co.uk just dropped the prices on the black and black/silver X-M1 to £479. The brown/silver is £499. There's £100 cashback from Fujifilm and Amazon are giving £100 account credit. And yes, I ordered one. I wanted a zoom for those times...

    Fuji XF1 underexposure problems

Chipbutty, I hope your new XF1 works perfectly. I'm quite tempted myself. Re refurbs direct from Fuji - the refurb X100 I had from them a year ago had dust on the sensor and dust in the viewfinder. Both fairly obvious problems that you'd think they would have noticed. I sent it straight back...

    Fuji XF1 underexposure problems

Sounds odd to me. I've just read your other post describing how Fuji packed it - maybe that had something to do with it... I think I'd send it back. FWIW you can get a brand new one (yours is refurbished yes?) from Currys for £135.00 at the moment. I know others have had good luck with refurbs...

Fuji DIY bayonet fit for original X100 lens cap

I didn't find anything like this when I searched a few weeks ago and since I've "made" it and it seems to work I thought I'd post a couple of pictures. I never used the original X100 lens cap as it seemed too loose. With the filter/bayonet ring added it was worse. So I had been using a...

Fun shots with the tank engines. And the butterfly shot is beautiful.

Fuji Hello from near Windsor, England

Thank you all for the welcomes, kind words and thoughts on the shutter sound. It still feels a bit strange but that could just be the fact that I can hear a shutter again after the x100 :) While I'm back on my own thread, I found another version of the towers in Kuala Lumpur that reminded me...

BBW - thank you. I've put my Flickr link in my profile now. Here are a few more from Japan (I had forgotten I could embed straight from Flickr!) - Castle by x100+1, on Flickr Tokyo DisneySea, Mount Fuji on the horizon by x100+1, on Flickr Senso-ji, Asakusa, Tokyo by x100+1, on...

Fuji Hello from near Windsor, England

Hi, I was (still am in theory) EP1-GF1 on mu-43.com. This time I chose a name that wouldn't go out of date quite so fast! I'm not a photographer and really just take pictures every now and then but I love to visit the world through the photos of others. My Fuji "problem" started last year...
