Conflicted. Adobe looks better than Capture One's edit

I started out with ACDSee - all I could afford at the time. When I finally was able to get Photoshop and the time to learn it, going to Lightroom was easier. I left ACDSee because at the time, their DAM module could not handle the volume of files I had and looking anything up was painful via...

    Documentary Portsmouth Flood Wall Murals

The Portsmouth, Ohio Flood Wall Mural Project uses the floodwall that protects the town from river flooding as an outdoor mural space to depict the last 2 centuries of the town's history. https://portsmouthmurals.com/ There are a large number of murals that have ben documented by me here, so I...

Maybe Olympus knows that we prefer the color science from those first gen cameras. šŸ˜œ I know my wifeā€™s favorite color science is from my Olympus PEN-F shots and my EM1.2

    Sony New Sony (A9 Mk1) User - My Experiences/Annoyances

As others have stated thank for sharing your thoughts. Even though Iā€™m not in the Sony ecosystem, it is an interesting read to see how the other half lives, so to speak. I can see a lot of parallels between what you say and good I feel about the modern Nikon Z mounts.

Stroll Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside

I actually kind of like the shutter sound, call me weird. I do like the fact that you can process images in camera and it has a monochrome mode. The Minolta Maxxum 7D does not have that, in contrast. Just very satisfied with the cameras from this time frame as they are cameras for stills and...

Stroll Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside

First full meander with the Oly E-300 and the 14-45mm. I've been sick the last few days, so was good to get out and get some visual pushups in. I do have to say that I'm whole heartedly impressed with the E-300 and the Oly four thirds lenses from this first few days. 1 2 3 4

    Nikon buys Red

While I think that Nikons current video capabilities are fantastic, the RED badge I think will help in the marketing. That is if they donā€™t mess the marketing up. Video is not really my thing, but I wish Nikon the best with the acquisition and the future with RED.

Nikon Showcase nikon Z6 image thread

I too still love me a good DSLR. Oddly enough I didnā€™t go back to Nikon, but stuck with the Minolta Maxxum 7D. A lot worse than a Nikon in many ways, but something about the Minolta glass and sensor rendering of that era makes me want to shoot with it. With prices being what they are...

    Advice Wanted GX8?

While not the exact same I have the EM1.2 and a GX85. Basically the GX8 without the tilting EVF. The EM1.2 would have the edge in AF and if you have larger lenses, the integrated grip still there as in your EM1.1. If you had to choose between the 2, Iā€™d probably stick with the devil you know...

Yes, amateur level for this set of comeptitors. I had conflict in schedule and didn't get to cover the "class A" which was only gloves, no headgear or shin pads. Maybe next year. :)

DxO Filmpack 7 custom preset based off of Kodak T-Max 3200. Had a bit of an issue with access to cage-side this year, so had to shoot from the general admission section and a long lens. Not quite what I had hoped for but as the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! 1 2 3...

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

Indeed...and honestly, in good lighting conditions the lens and Oly JPG engine is really quite good. I figure that the bigger 4/3 sensor will be just that much better. :)

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

Yes, JPG only is definitely the way to go and I can get 2-3 SQH JPGs off before it makes me wait. I'll probably sell off the C-8080 if the E-300 scratches that Olympus / Kodak CCD itch. The good thing is that I've vetted out the C-8080 and someone will benefit from me working through the paces.

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

Well, having really liked the Olympus C-8080WZ experience, I went looking and was able to find a, what I perceive is a good deal, on an Olympus E-300. $135 gets me the body, battery/charger 14-45 and 40-150 lens in good condition. Should be here by the end of the week. Hoping to be able to...
