    Film Obligatory Street Thread

I do think that there is a sense of intrusion on the face of the lady looking at the camera. A situation that I have never felt works and I guess one of the reasons I don't do street photography. Somehow Cartier-Bresson seemed to not have these issues but I am sure he did.

    Film medroller here.

Welcome, and I hope you continue to be inspired, there is a lot of knowledge and dedication here, and for sure, digital image making has it's place, but photography after all has to use film and chemicals, or at least according to the dictionary definition, it has to

Film Does it matter where BW is developed?

By and large, I would say, no. B&W development is so easy that most camera shops have access to labs that will do a good job. They normally have to send it away as hour print shops only have access to colour development facilities at which they can process C41 film but pure B&W has to be...

Film A grip for the Olympus OM1

This is an excellent resume of Olympus OM1n cameras, I used to have a couple of OM2n's and I also had an OM3 which was superb. They were my mountain cameras which became very popular when Chris Bonnington's Everest NW Face team were issues with them, each team member was issued with a couple...

I bought a Gossen Spotmeter, hand held though, hot she wise, a Leica Meter might fill the bill, I used to have one on the M4 that I owned, however I guess I still enjoy to use my Weston Euromaster from time to time, it's old school but it works and never needs a battery.

No problems Jose, in fact my interest in film is slowly re kindling so I expect to start using it soon. The Bronica you mention is very nice, just a different way of viewing, I had an ETRS many years ago bit I think I am more accustomed to viewing the TLR way- Regards

    Film Ready to go...

They are the best in my humble opinion, I tried and failed with the steel reels. The Paterson reels must be bone dry then they are a dream to load. I don't use a bag, I go down into my cellar, lay out all I need, sit quietly, compose myself and that's it, 35mm or 6X6, a dream

Film Chinese Manufacturer produces Fast Lenses

It's an interesting concept Martin, I'm, sort of unsure but when I read the article it seemed worth linking, and I assume that the lenses are equally suitable for film or digital cameras? This was the other optic newcomer, however somewhat more expensive Handevision
