Thanks or That Amin
I'm here in CA right now with my GF
I took both the GH2 and the EM-5 with full grip + 24-70 2.8 (quite heavy) or the very useful but slow 14-140
I can say the EM-5 is just so much better at capturing the wide dynamic scenes here images are just amazing.
The GH2 is...
Its popular and good for the community sharing of images but the interface is awful its clumsy to use the look and flexibility is terrible :( far better is smugmug very slick looking and easy to use but less good for sharing community wise.
I'm shooting RAW with the OM-D Nic only had the OM-D since Monday so early days.
From what I see in Lightroom 4.1RC2 its not a Panasonic sensor its got a diff. look at ISO200 in shadow areas little real noise its better than any Panasonic sensor very smooth and detailed
The Tone curve for...
Ray the 1st was shot at f1.7 1/200 ISO100
I used the CS6beta Blur filter (new) Tilt / Shift I rotated the plane to be vertical and kept the girl in the sharp region
On either side I made the blur to suit the effect I wanted.
Oddly a close friend and Camera club member (great photographer too)...
Only that I like it the new grey look is cool .. new filters /Blur ... Field, Tilt Shift, Iris are great new tools.
The CS6 Beta (win7 64bit) runs well no probs.
I will get it
Oh an my Nik Software works too :)
So the ND filter will let you create effects like car headlights becoming Light Streams ?
This IS a great feature for night work ... cook the image till its right on the LCD ..... amazing
Well could not resist
I ordered mine off B&H via Fedex BLACK OM-D E-M5
I wanted the Battery grip but B&H don't seem to stock it I chose B&H because Amazon have the battery grip and camera but wont ship the camera to Aus.
Any suggestions I would like the Battery Grip.
Cant wait :) 5 axis IBIS...
FWIW from these images it looks delicious some serious Industrial design with a touch retro ... so much cooler than the Plastic fantastic GH2 with speckled finish lol
One unknown is will it support PDAF if so its a winner even if the body has the latest 16MP 43 sensor G3 or better still the HG2...
The OM-D1 from Olympus interest's me as I have lots of 43/m43 glass:dance4:
The XP-1 for sure is a Tour De-force in mirrorless .. Wake Up Panasonic and Olympus ... Leica well go away and sulk
