Fuji Should I sell my X-T1?

If you don't want to PP much and prefer JPEGs, I found you can do no better than using the Fuji JPEGs. I have been using only JPGs ever since I owned a Fuji, and rarely got disappointed. But as others pointed out, I still do some tweaks on it, and more often than not I found the Fuji JPEGs can...

    Fuji Fuji X-Trans blown reds?

Thanks, Rico. I use Pro neg Hi - maybe I should switch to Std. :-) As for reducing the saturation, I am happy with the other colors, just the reds. I wasn't sure if we can adjust the channels in camera.

    Fuji Fuji X-Trans blown reds?

Been meaning to ask for a long time now, but somehow didn't until now: is overblown reds common in the X-Trans sensor? Bill (WT21) noticed it in one of my first shots with an X-E1 (and that was some time ago). I also noticed it in a lot of the images from X100s. Doesn't bother me much enough...

    X100s in Cancun

Thank everyone! Thanks, BB. I saw your comments, but I don't like how the flickr app works, so didn't comment there. As for the images, I didn't need to do much. As you said, the place is gorgeous and I only had to frame and press the shutter.

    X100s in Cancun

I saw that Bob has just visited Tulum, and Armanius was there not too long ago. I was there just a week ago, in Cancun! I posted some pics over in SC first because I used both the E-P5 and the X100s. Here are some shots from the X100s. All are shot JPEG, and you will probably guess...

Way south of the border - to Cancun!

And after all the exploring, for the life of me I couldn't find a decent burrito (never mind decent - I just wanted one!) while I was there in Mexico. Haha!

We were very tempted to do just that, but I figured we don't know when we'll be back, so we braved the heat and explored.

Way south of the border - to Cancun!

My family went to a big summer outing, and we decided to try Cancun. Aside from the beach, we were very interested in Chichen Itza, so off we went. I brought with me an E-P5 and X100s. For primes I brought the Panasonic 20 Olympus 45, but the O45 went mostly unused. I had fun with both the 9-18...

    D-Day 70th anniversary

I heard about this celebration in Normandy, this morning at NPR. I had the impression that it is celebrated every 10 years? What stayed with me was the reporter's observation that this year, there seems to be a sadness in the whole event, with the realizetion that this may well be the last time...

How to properly exposure such pictures?

Those pictures were shot I think on f/20 aperture (or some such very small settings), and (I assume) also used some serious light-stopping ND filter (for those daytime shots). Edit: Confirmed, some serious NDs here:

For someone like me who's just transplanted to where I am now, fb has been very beneficial. So disappointed :frown:

I usually go on a hunt (read: buying) knowing full well what I want so whenever I smell even a whiff of any kind of upselling my alarm bells go off. If they go on doing it after telling them firmly I only want what I want then they've already lost my business. Hope you get another cam soon...

A beautiful ode (?) to photography

I loved this story. Especially poignant was when he said he realized how postcards didn't make him remember his London, his Paris, or his Istanbul. Sometimes amidst all this gear-hunting, it is nice to be reminded of the why, and not the what. And it is nice to be reminded how lucky we are that...

I need serious help choosing a camera...

Did you by any chance enable the SCP (super control panel, i think) menu in the E-P5? If you got a chance to play with Fuji's Q menu, the SCP is very similar to that. I haven't had a chance to play with as many cameras as you did, and of course each kid is different, but I find the E-PL3 +...

    Mad March Mono Month

I got inspired by the theme -- B&W is something I've always been hesitant to delve into too much. Maybe one here and there.
