OK, I understand that the 60mm lens is called a macro despite the fact that it does not do 1:1 representation. And on the other side of the coin, the 35mm allows pretty close focusing ability as well. I'm just wondering how much "more macro" in real life is the 60mm compared to the 35mm. Does anyone have any shots showing both of them being used at their closest focusing point for comparison?

The 60mm is 0.5x, the 35mm is 0.17x. In theory you can capture a small object three times larger with the 60mm; if you use the closest focusing distance of each lens.
