Show "Caves"

Thought I would start a thread on caves. Last weekend, I organised a private photographic tour of Jenolan Caves, about 100 miles west of Sydney.

These shots were taken with my Olympus E-P1 and Panasonic 20mm f/1.7. I used autofocus (no trouble focussing in the low light). The advantage of the private photo tour was that we could use tripods. Other shots from the public tours were hand-held as tripods were not permitted. No flash shots here.

I am very impressed with these shots. In retrospect, I have no idea why I shot at such a high ISO when using a tripod (actually I do know, I forgot to check the ISO) but even so, I only lowered it to ISO800.

If you have some cave shots, please add them.

Taken on film with a Canonet 19 some 40 years ago. South-west of WA.

Wow! Both of you have done beautifully - with digital and film!

I haven't been inside a cave since I left West Virginia. Not implying that WVa is cavelike, but there was a really cool one not far from where we lived..and easy to enter and not feel claustrophobic.

P.S. Peter thanks for sharing the bit about not checking the ISO. I did that on Sunday.
