A chess king, roughly 6 inches tall, that my late husband modeled (on a thrown base) from clay we dug ourselves at a disused kaolin mine. The set was never completed, but it would have been a sight to behold! And sort of appropriate following the woven periodic table, as Jim would have used a few elements to glaze it.
And, as a footnote, the first subject of my new "nifty fifty" lens! And here I've been lurking around the GAS threads as if butter wouldn't melt in my mouth!
