Tomorrows mountain is Scafell Pike. And after much thought, the camera of choice for the day is the Ricoh GR.
Much as I am loving the Sony A7r , I thinks the GR will give me a better view of the mountain, and more keepers. Plus I am happier knowing I can trust the battery life. The weather is another issue. Light rain and drizzle forecast. It's easier to protect the GR. I hope to get at least 5 shots worthy of posting. Buster and Taz will be staying at home for this one.
I know the camera can deliver but can I ! Pop back about 21-00gmt tomorrow to find out.

Sorry I'm late. Fell asleep. Must be an age thing. And my knees are having a go at me today !
Anyway. Photo wise I found the day rather uninspiring. It was nice enough but quite hazy and
lacking in contrast. I think the GR performed to the best of it's ability but I didn't.
Not a total loss though. (Unlike the view from the summit !) ;-)

despite your description of the conditions for shooting.......I think you and the GR have done extremely well. Certainly bags of atmosphere and the contrast don't look too out of kilter to my eye. In fact, much better than I expected to see from your forward.
