Life at War: Soldier Photographers

There's some great stuff there. I'm reminded of the late great Alan Whicker who was for a time an official war correspondent for the British Army following General Montgomery in the Western Desert. Every time Monty noticed Whicker or one of his colleagues approaching with a camera he started posing, pointing meaningfully into the distance, staring gimlet-eyed at the horizon. This continued until an exasperated Whicker asked him to desist since those were the only shots they had of him...
