I had image stitching fever for a spell a few years back. I can get pretty addcitive, so be careful.

One trick I learned early on was to imagine the completed image and decide on the plane of focus. Lock focus on that and switch the camera to manual focus and then I would shoot all my frames. If you rely on AF, you may get different areas of focus which may mess up the stitching process
