Roughly 2 million years ago I was an electrician in Athens GA, and I used to find squirrel stashes once in awhile, often behind the siding on a house that was being remodeled. Pull off a siding board, and WHOOSH, out comes a waterfall of old pecans. Better than no insulation at all, I guess.

Currently walking through this section of the woods by my house, I would recommend wearing a hard hat. There is just a non-stop showering of nut husks raining down from the treetops.

They're beginning here too. Oak trees behind us in the park are raining. It's cool, until you're taking a turn on the bike and roll over one.
