So this weekend was full of fun times. Non stop all weekend. First off was the afternoon Community Gathering for Fountain Hills. This is a social time which includes a variety of Christmas Trees from local organizations, a couple of model train displays, Christmas tree decoration making for the kids and plenty of snacks. http://www.fh.az.gov/“it’s-a-wonder...th-annual-holiday-celebration-2014-11-19.aspx 20mm SEL and NEX-6 Next up was the Downtown Fountain Hills evening which concluded with the lights being turned on. Mostly included walking downtown, seeing various displays presented by local groups/vendors. There also was a horse pulled ride and plenty of lights to be seen. http://www.fh.az.gov/stroll-in-the-glow-2014-12-06.aspx Still using the 20mm SEL and NEX-6 Did some quick family portraits, (not taken by me). Hay ride fun We were having so much fun, I almost forgot to take a few shots of the lights. Finally Sunday night we went to the Mesa, AZ LDS Temple grounds for some more light perusing, (ongoing till the end of the month). http://www.mesachristmaslights.com/ This time I took the 50mm SEL for the extra F Stop factor. Just love how this one turned out And concluding with a Nativity expo from various part of the world. The lighting was a bit odd in there, not very conducive to shooting, without some set up time. In addition I still had the 50mm SEL on my NEX-6 which is not the ideal for these kinds of shots. Still pretty neat to walk through and see all the different displays. http://www.mesachristmaslights.com/nativity/ Such a busy weekend, with lots of great memories.
