Here's an odd question. I want to reduce my clutter to a bare minimum for some travels. I'm already going to have an iPad with its requisite cable and AC wall power converter. Has anyone confirmed that a power unit like that can safely charge the RX1? I know, in most cases, those voltage converters regulate the output to what is being drawn by the device, so the limitation is normally that you can't charge a more power-hungry device, with a smaller capacity AC unit.

    Thanks.

I have one of these. I like, not depending on mains.

I have used it with my iPhone my garmin GPS60csx . It will even give my ipad a bit of juice.
I see no reason why you cant take the one charger and lead.

Knowing cameras like the RX1 needed USB charging did not put me off at all. I think its great. As long as I have light I can run my devices with my power monkey.
