Indeed, finally I've got to see what my E-P3 files can really look like. And very impressive they are too.

The 12mm is even better now! What a great lens on a great camera.

Does 'Candidate' mean it's not the final version?

No. Consider it a beta, though pretty solid.

OK thanks, I'll wait for the proper version i think!

Any idea how long the wait will be now that the 'beta' version is out?

I have a licensed version of LR 3.4.1 If I download the release candidate...does it install as a separate trial version?

No, it should update your copy of LR.

The Beta replaces the existing Lightroom install (windows)
Normally it leaves the existing LR alone

Technically it is a relese candidate which should be identical to the final version hence the installation is identical to the final product.

RAW is great with the C3 in LR3 release candidate. I REALLY wish Aperture would come out with the update. I dislike with a passion the crop tool in LR where you draw your box then move the picture under the anchored frame instead of every other program including Photoshop where you drag the frame over the picture.

Aperture supports DNG, such that you could download the release candidate of the Adobe DNG Converter 6.5 to convert your raw files to DNG, which can be developed in your existing version of Aperture.
