I'll be there for most of the day tomorrow, likely until past sunset, and it will be my first visit. Can anyone recommend any particularly good spots? I'll also be at/near the Algodones Sand Dunes, if anyone has been there.

    Thanks in advance,

Do yourself a favor, go to flickriver and enter 'salton sea' or 'bombay beach'. Stunning work has been done there in that wasteland.

I haven't been there in about 30 years, but my first choice is often to go to Flickr, search on a topic (salton sea), pick by interestingness, and then see if any place names pop up.

    Good luck!

Don't remember any exact spots, but bring noseplugs. Oh that smell!

It is, though I'd prefer the horizon line to be level, it looks like it's a bit off. Reflections are one area where dividing in half does sometimes work.

I have not been there in years, but have fun and take a wide angle lens. :)
