    Today

Ireland v Wales ....... grudge match ......2 NZ coaches, the Welsh one dropped Brian O'Driscoll in the Lions match - so the Irish crowd will be on his back

    Scotland v England

    and, sometime later

    Italy v France

raining here - wood burners made up - "resting" on the couch - TV on - content for the afternoon

mine as well - I expect that they are "crying" in "the Valleys"

Ireland played well and credit to them and their new NZ coach

getting ready for "the main" game

6N is the best sporting event in the world today - IMHO of course

The sound of Welsh rugby fans' sobbing as it echoes round the valleys always gladdens the heart

Didn't we used to have kickers who got the ball between the posts every time? Sigh

To miss one penalty, Mr Worthing, may be regarded as a misfortune; to miss three looks like carelessness.

But anyway, two tries and 0-20 isn't to be sneezed at,especially at Murrayfield

    Scotland were poor

England missed quite a few chances, they will have to improve if they want to beat Ireland, Wales I'm not sure as they are not great these days

apparently the UK Immigration Minister has resigned because the cleaner that he has been employing does not have a work permit - you couldn't make it up could you

Having grown up watching the then 5N through the 70's and 80's I'm still never quite convinced by Ireland. I'm always expecting us to fall apart in the last 20.

England looked good today - even though Scotland were woeful - so the game at Twickers should be fun.

Now but is France v Italy today at the Stade de France in Paris - hopefully it will be bright and cold and not raining - but I'll be watching on TV in front of the fire

As always, the French are the firm favourites
