When I framed this eclectic lady, the gentleman had his head turned to the side, sort of staring into space. It worked as both were lost in thought. Just as I clicked he turned his head. It sort of ruined the shot for me. After spotting me the photo op went bye bye.

it may have ruined YOUR planned shot. But I love the grumpy surprised man look with the woman totally oblivious to the moment.

Those looks are priceless, Brent. If this were my shot I wouldn't mind him looking right at me or the camera with that sort of spontaneous expression but to be honest I'd prefer him a bit more in focus.

you should be able to figure it out...
This shot represents two important truths regarding street photography, at least in my experience.

    1. If you see a shot, go for it, but somehow miss it, you can't double back and try it again - when the moment is gone, it's gone.

    2. Sometimes your misses can be some of your best shots, even (or especially) when the shot changes from what you were going for to something that works anyway... So, even when you think you missed the moment, you may have nailed a slightly different one, maybe even a better one...

    Nice shot!

I really appreciate all the feedback. I put this on my website, then took it off, then put it back on, yada yada. I overthink.
