I hope the bellows don't let you down. I have several folders with terrible light leaks in the bellows folds.

    Shoot slow film!

a trusted seller said they are good, I have hopes.
Should these fail I have, several other cameras, my Hexar AF for 35mm and 3, yes 3, TLR's. Yashica D, Yashica-Mat and Sawyers Mk IV. That last is 127 film however...

the Sawyer's is new to me, looks rather splendid - and a 2.8 taking lens to boot.
127 is not impossible to come by (B&H have got Rollei "lomo-type" rolls, Freestyle seem to still have some Efke stock, and frugalphotographer.com list some bluefire stuff)

I loved my Agfa folder, but the low-contrast from the lenses just got annoying. What you need is a Fuji GS645, Bronica RF 645, or Mamiya 6. Very compacts cameras and great optics. My Mamiya 6 is the only film camera I have not been able to sell.

But looking forward to seeing work.

Sadly all these are far larger and heavier than my perkeo. It is likely the smallest and lightest 6x6 quality camera ever made.
Folded it is roughly the same size and weight as my Olympus e-pl2 with the 15mm body cap lens!
The color-skopar lens is highly regarded as well. Fujichrome velvia 50 should tell the tale...

    the mamiya 6 + lens also probably costs 10x-20x a perkeo ...

better hurry up, the factory shut down in august 2012 ... there'll never be any more Efke

Don't be sad for what you have and... I have a perkeo too. The thing about the antique cameras is each lends something to the photos produced in it even if there is a tiny light leak. I have an Ansco Memar Pronto that got all gummed up with the mfg's lens lube, it basically turns into green cement and freezes up the lens. Anyway.. I disassembled it, cleaned it up, reassembled it and shot a couple rolls with it only to discover that the lens is delightfully scuffed and it wasn't me! The images turn out dreamy and otherworldly. It clearly isn't sharp or expensive but I enjoyed shooting with it thoroughly. Yea for the old cameras, even the inexpensive ones!

Got some Efke 127mm, only brand I could find in that size at the time. I guess I will have to hunt again

Just read that a guy repaired his bellows with cloth hockey tape. Have also heard of spraying some kind of rubberized paint on the inside but if you got it from a reputable source you probably don't need to do any of that.

I am not sad for what I have. Far from it. I LIKE the Perkeo for its size, quality and charm.
I was merely pointing out the cameras Hikari suggests do not suit my desires or needs, being too large.
    I fear I grow lazy.
Gone are the days I carried a Fuji GSW690 with me everywhere!
Should I still wish to indulge in high-end film play I have my Konica Hexar AF

As for Efke, freestyle has some in stock, but only in 120 and 127 unless you want their infra-red film ;)

Excellent choice in cameras, I have a Konica too, a full/half frame. Economy on film you get 72 shots if you want!

Lili, I really need to ask you... could you please use BBcode from Flickr instead of HTML? I have to use the small screen theme on the laptop and ipad, and all your shots (and others' shots, too) turn out elongated/squared away inside the small theme. I know that I am not the only one using the theme and seeing this, I am probably the only one rude enough to say so ... sorry...

Here's an example of how it looks in the theme, I'm sure the camera in question is of different proportions :)
