Enjoy! (not my shot)
Actually, I don't.
JPS livery, such a classic... lunacy though, to be driving those cars at any sort of speed! Glad to live in the post May 1994 era...
The Lotus 79 for me brings back vivid memories!
There was one year's overlap (1985) when the Lotus team still had the Olympus sponsorship and Williams began the first year of their Canon sponsorship.
I think Canon did much better than Olympus in F1!
They did have "Il Leone" (Mansell)
Mansell also drove for Lotus during the "Olympus era"
Don't forget that Mario Andretti won the 1978 World Championship driving a Lotus 79 with Olympus livery. It doesn't get much better than that. I actually got to sit in that car at the 30th annual Historic Races at Lime Rock, Connecticut two years ago.
See my previous post on the 79
The ferrari F1 car with which Schumacher became world champion in 2003 and 2004 also had olympus sponsoring, although not nearly as prominently.
Let's not forget the Olympus Hesketh either....
(Again, not my shot)
Lord Hesketh... Le Patron; James Hunt... Le Pilote...
Separate names with a comma.
