Thanks for the report. It is quite sobering to notice the poverty together with a smile.

Thanks Boid, the next time I'm in India I think my photography is going to be very different. You've done a good job here. The flooded road makes me smile, great photo.

I don't think they see themselves as being particularly poor. Life is meant to be hard, and when it's not raining, it's all good :)

nice work as always, Rajiv. Sometimes half a world away photos almost seem like they are, in fact, from another planet. I like to try to imagine what other people's lives are like in photographs. When I was imaging being some of the people in your photos, I just felt the heat and humidity.

Excellent....really enjoyed those Rajiv. Especially like the shot of the guy firing up the coals, just goes to show that no matter where a guy is from, the colour of his skin, the God he prays too or the language he speaks ....all he really wants in life is good barbecue. ;)

All great shots! I find the one of the shiny Ford Fiesta amidst the shabby looking buildings rather interesting and feel there has to be a story there somewhere.
Out of interest, what camera were these shot with?
    Looking forward to seeing more!

These are shot with a Ricoh GRD (original). SOOC BW jpegs. The camera does shoot raw but the write times are so long that it can get frustrating.
