I used to be a really hard core cyclist, but health problems mostly forced me off the bike from about Autumn 2012 until this past Spring. I hadn't ridden with a camera since I started riding again, but this morning I decided to grab my Coolpix A before I went out on a pretty typical 30 mile ride. 30 miles used to be an easy after-work ride for me - at this point it's about my limit, but I'm getting stronger again slowly but surely. I live in a small Colonial era town, but am lucky enough to have plenty of beautiful rural area within pretty easy riding distance from home. A nice mix of horse farms and crop farms...
Anyway, I don't think I'd ever ridden with a nicer camera than an S90 or LX5, maybe once or twice with the original RX100, but I'm not sure. But never with anything nearly as good as the Coolpix A - it didn't exist when I had to stop riding in 2012. It's obviously one focal length, but an easy one for me to adapt to. And it was really fun having such a nice little camera to record my ride today. Here are several shots, in order, so you can come along on portions of the ride with me.
