I've been using the G1X for the last 2 days although the weather has been so dull and grey I've not had a chance to use it properly in some decent light.
My initial impression is that you buy purely on IQ because it's body feels dated and the controls ( especially the shutter button ) are not good enough.
The lens looks very good wide open but stopping down one at the top end keeps that sharp as well.
It's all down to great IQ in a small body..focus speed isn't wonderful.
Even ISO 6400 is totally usable and at ISO 250 there was less noise than in the Fuji X10 at ISO 100 when I took similar shots yesterday.
