There are some tremendous images there, and (photographic) lessons to take to heart.

    1. Capa was right - get closer
    2. Composition, focus and exposure are guides not rules
    3. People are the most impactful, compelling, ever changing, subject imaginable
    4. A compelling image begins with a strong vision

I say this not to trivialise but to recognise talent when I see it. I tip my hat to Yannis; he cannot fail to have been touched by what he has witnessed through his viewfinder.

For me, his pictures sent a much more powerful message than any tv news report. I needed to see them.
