El Capitan "Photos" auto open fix

    you should be able to figure it out...
    You the MAN Bruce! It never occurred to me to try to solve this problem - I just assumed it was one of Apple's little inevitable gifts that would keep on giving. Lot's of good with their stuff, but occasional little pains in the butt too. Just entered it, stuck an SD full of photos in and, without having to launch Photos, Lightroom's import page came up a LOT faster.

    Well Ray, I'd been irked about this for months and kept clicking closed Photos every time. It was actually my neighbor that ran across the article, nice holiday gift that!

    Just a late appreciation for this post, thanks OP. I waited this long before before downloading El Capitan so that issues such as this could be ironed out (it's a bit of a concern that Default Folder still isn't workable on the new system).
