After a couple of years of work, I've just produced my first Kindle book, F8 and Been There.

    F8 and Been There.
...you are the target audience, so I hope you enjoy it! Please use one of our affiliate links:
...and search by title. It should be available on all Amazon sites by now but the ones above help this site.

It's been up since late last night and has sold four copies thus far, but I am yet to get a review - if you read it and like it, do please give it a write-up on Amazon :)

Got the book. Always a good thing to get a book by a local author, in this case 'local' meaning the forum community.

It's on my Kindle at home. I'll see if any of the tips transfer to Philadelphia (where I will be next week).

Me too - not for the tips as I'll never get there but as an armchair traveller

How's this, a few minutes ago:

    Number 36 cropped.

#36 on the Amazon.com list of top 100 best-selling photography books. That appears to put me on top of Dita Von Teese...;)

    Hi Bill

Read the sample on the train to work, kept me turning the electronic page so off to a great start. I love to travel and I think we've been to similar places so I'm sure I will find your book an interesting read.

I'm hoping to do one, to point out the key things I haven't read elsewhere. Not that I read a lot, but I have quite a few photo books.

Just read the section on Seville. I'd love to go there in the spring. I visited with the family in July a few years ago and it was 43C. We scuttled from shade to shade and sought out ice creams. I don't remember much else!

It was fantastic, except for the crowds for the festival. I could see my hotel, but it took me 2 hours to get to it because the parades kept going by! By the evening they had put in one-way systems for pedestrians. But damn, it all smelled divine, thanks to the orange blossoms.

I have the book. It is a good guide to photographing buildings and locales of interest. The reader should consult Rick Steve's "Europe through the Back Door" to get an idea of how to get in touch with the ambience of these places and with the local culture and people, to the extent one can do it in a few days.
